GOVERNOR AWARDS LOCAL ECONOMIC
DEVELOPMENT ASSISTANCE GRANT
TO RIVESVILLE

CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Gov. Bob Wise today awarded a Local Economic Development Assistance Program grant for $4,000 to the Town of Rivesville.

The funds will be used to purchase equipment for the Mon Valley Voice, a community-based journalism project funded through the Kellogg Foundation and the West Virginia University School of Journalism. Funds will be used to purchase a computer, software, printer, scanner, fax machine, copier and other office equipment.

“I am very pleased to assist the citizens of the Town of Rivesville with this project,” Wise said.

The grant program, administered by the West Virginia Development Office, supports community enrichment projects that provide a better living environment or expand economic development opportunities.
