GOVERNOR WELCOMES ACCURATE MILLWORKS
TO MERCER COUNTY

CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Gov. Joe Manchin and officials from Accurate Millworks Inc. today announced the company is locating operations in the USDA Forest Service Wood Education and Resource Center's rough mill facility in Princeton, creating as many as 30 jobs.

Accurate Millworks has leased the Wood Education and Resource Center’s 42,000-square-foot factory as a hardwood molding and milling facility. The company’s operations will focus on milling kiln-dried basswood and poplar components for the window manufacturing industry.

"West Virginia's outstanding workforce and expertise in the value-added wood industry are key to attracting high-quality industry leaders to the state," the governor said. "We welcome this new investment by Accurate Millwork and appreciate the partnership of the U.S. Forest Service; Sen. Evan Jenkins of Cabell County, who provided state and local development officials with the lead for this project; and, the Mercer County Development Authority in making this project a reality.”

"Quality products will be made right here in southern West Virginia and shipped worldwide," said owner Robert Kincaid. "Our company already knows the quality of West Virginia hardwoods and looks forward to working with the wood products industry here."

Kincaid is a partner of WoodMart Window Coverings in Van Nuys, Calif., which manufactures plantation shutters using hardwood from several West Virginia suppliers. With an extensive background in the hardwood industry including experience as a director of the National Hardwood Lumber Association, he has been involved in milling lumber products for more than 30 years in Southern California.

The center, which includes offices and training facilities, seeks to improve the knowledge, skills and capacity of forest industry management and workforce, increase communication, cooperation and collaborative problem solving within the forest products industry, and improve efficiency in forest product manufacturing and wood utilization.
